WebSkulker has played around with www.alladvantage.com and a couple of other services that show ads on your screen and pay you to look at them, but he never thought they were worth bothering with.  For those of you jr. skulkers more desperate for money, you might like the GhostSurfers site suggested by Jr. Skulker Aliena.  In keeping with this theme, you should enter the site through the link above to give her credit.

When you get to the GhostSurfers site, click on the link "Click here to see the directory of over 300 Surf4Pay Programs" to get a list of every site known to their staff that will pay you to look at ads, fill in surveys, refer your friends, etc.

Jr. Skulker MediaHound suggested another type of site that might pay you to surf.  Iwon.com is a web portal with searches, news, stock reports, etc. with a big difference: as you view pages on their site, you get points that enter you into drawings for prizes: $10,000 every day, 30 prizes of $1,000 every week, a $1 million prize every month, plus an annual $10 Million prize.  Note that the larger prizes are actually worth much less than they claim because they pay the money in installments over 25 years.

Microlegends develops products for the telecommunications industry, specializing in Signaling System 7 (SS7) and Voice over IP telephony.  Their web site contains very detailed tutorials on these two subjects, with lots of pictures and diagrams.  Any jr. skulkers interested in telephone switching systems should go through these.

Jr. Skulker Chris Gray told us about NetRadio which claims to have 120 channels of music that you listen to over the web in either RealAudio or Windows Media formats.  They imbed the player in a web page that always shows details for the current piece being played and the previous one.

Only a skulker would notice this: they claim to have 120 channels.  WebSkulker started one playing in Windows Media format, dropped down the list of other channels available, and counted only 52.  Then he started a channel in RealAudio, dropped down the list, and found 102.  Apparently they have 120 altogether, but not all of them are available in both formats.

Things You Can Learn from a Cat

Make the world your playground. 

Whenever you miss the sandbox, cover it up. Dragging a sock over it helps. 

If you can't get your way, lay across the keyboard until you do. 

When you are hungry, meow loudly so they feed you just to shut you up. 

Always find a good patch of sun to nap in. 

Nap often. 

When in trouble, just purr and look cute. 

Life is hard, and then you nap. 

Curiosity never killed anything except maybe a few hours. 

When in doubt, cop an attitude. 

Variety is the spice of Life. One day, ignore people; the next day, annoy them. 

Climb your way to the top, that's why the curtains are there. 

Make your mark in the world, or at least spray in each corner. 

Always give generously; a bird or rodent left on the bed tells them, "I care." 

When you have something important to say, try to say it in the dead of night when you're SURE everyone's sleeping. There's no better way to get the attention you deserve.
