We will now give him a shameless plug: he runs Shokus Video, an
online store selling videotapes of old 1950's TV shows that are now in
the public domain. If you remember Lucille Ball, Groucho Marx, Bob
Hope, Jack Benny, Milton Berle, Burns and Allen, Perry Como, Dragnet,

In Monday's and Tuesday's issues, WebSkulker talked about the new generation of cell phones with web browsers built in. If you have one of these -- or if you downloaded the cell phone simulator we told you about yesterday -- then you should visit the WebCab site for several utility programs to use with these phones. We won't go into detail because most jr. skulkers probably aren't interested in this; just go to the site and you will see lots of good stuff, including links to many other WAP services. This was submitted by Jr. Skulker ScaredPoet. The second link is the best solution WebSkulker has found so far for reading email on a WAP cell phone. Your cellular provider probably gives you a special mailbox, and other WAP enabled sites provide special mail boxes also. But WebSkulker wanted to be able to read his normal POP3 email from his normal web server via his cell phone. Several sites, including webcab.de, promised this, but none really worked except wapmachine. You sign up for an account, tell it the details of your POP3 server, and it will send you a confirming email telling you how to build a bookmark in your cell phone for immediate access to your POP3 mail.
Go to this page, build an account, login, and you will get a screen asking for your phone number and a phone number in the U.S. that you want to call. A moment later your phone will ring, you will hear a short advertisement, then you will be connected to the number you wanted for a five minute free call.
http://www.metalmorphic.com/gallery/p01.html "Metal Morphic is the design work of artist Scott Potter, specializing in original sculptural creations. Metal Morphic seeks to create well-designed and well-built functional artwork." Why does WebSkulker mention this? Because the artist has a fully-functional phone sculpture -- the Explosion Proof Phone -- that you can see at the second link, and you can buy one for your living room.
